ACTIVITIES: Work Breakdown Structure
ICARe activities are divided into 6 Work Packages (WPs), as illustrated in the Work Breakdown Structure below. Each work package is structured in such a way as to facilitate the interaction with ACARE and with other related stakeholders.
WP1: Project Coordination (October 2017 - March 2020)
Lead beneficiary: ERDYN
WP1 includes the project management activities, which provide the necessary organizational substrate for the successful accomplishment of the project. This WP will set up the tools to lead and monitor the project throughout its duration while ensuring the project administration towards the European Commission (EC).
WP2: Communication, Dissemination and Networking (October 2017 - March 2020)
Lead beneficiary: EASN TIS
The role of WP2 is to maximize the project’s impact and trigger effects across the targeted R&I stakeholders and communities in Europe.
WP3: Assessment of past international cooperation in aviation (October 2017 - September 2018)
Lead beneficiary: ERDYN
The purpose of WP3 is to assess past and current cooperation and derive some lessons learnt on the perimeter of the 21 countries, in the domain of research & technologies cooperation for aviation and in the frame of H2020, FP7 and FP6 (CSAs and RIAs). Other relevant FP6, FP7 and H2020 Research and Innovation Actions will also be analysed.
WP4: Technology Mapping in Third Countries (January 2018 - September 2019)
Lead beneficiary: DLR
In WP4 the objective is to perform a technologies screening inside the 21 countries and to identify the couples “technology-country” which could contribute to filling the technological needs identified in the SRIA documents. The screening will also be performed in other domains related to aviation (e.g.: automotive domain has developed hybrid technologies propulsion which is of interest to aviation).
WP5: EU-Third Country Open Platforms (October 2017 - December 2019)
Lead beneficiary: ONERA
The aim of WP5 is to setup 5 Open Platforms leading to identification of win-win opportunities, areas of common interest, barriers and solutions for improved cooperation concerning the 5 selected countries among the 21, in a bilateral way.
WP6: Proposed Collaborations and Final Recommendations (October 2017 - March 2020)
Lead beneficiary: ERDYN
WP6 based on outputs from WP3, 4 and 5 and other sources will issue evidence - based recommendations to the EU Commission in terms of interest for future international cooperation in the area of Aviation with a specific country for specific technologies development,under the ACARE SRIA objectives.
